The locomotive prototype was first built in 1937 for the AGL&C and later saw service on the D&RGW.

This locomotive looks good pulling 1.5" and 2.5" scale cars and is capable of pulling up to 15 fully loaded passenger cars yet is small enough to travel.

GE 23 Ton Box Cab in 2.5" scale. This locomotive may configured with a single 5/8HP 24 VDC electric motors, 2 batteries or 4ea. 5/8HP 24 VDC and 4 batteries. The 23 Tonner may also be configured for  7, 10 or 15 to 1 gear ratios and an optional sound system.

Standard components include: Dual end control plugs, RMI 21 throttle, electric parking brakes, master power shut off switch, RMI proven electrical system, MU capable.
