This past year RMI has designed and built it's first new locomotive in a long time.  We are building a 2.5" SCALE version of the locomotive that GE built for the Ash Grove Cement co. back in 1937.  One of these locomotive even worked on the D&RGW in the 1960's dam project.

This new locomotive was designed to be our lowest cost locomotive without cutting quality.  To this end we have an extremely powerful and compact little loco. Our demo locomotive has been out and about here in the south west US and has proven it self.  At one show we had 14 narrow gauge cars and a dozen adults in a train.  During this test at Maricopa Live Steamers the locomotive backed this train up a 2% grade, on a curve no less and did not even spin its wheels.  Very impressive.

We are offering this locomotive in two versions.  The first one has a 5/8HP traction motor all wheel drive with two batteries.  The second one has two 5/8HP traction motor all wheel drive with four batteries.  Ether unit can be upgraded with a sound system.

Current pricing is $5995 for the one traction motor unit and $6995 for the two Traction motor unit. You can see unit on our Facebook page or call us for more details.
