This was the second class of reefers purchased by the D&RGW. These cars had a capacity of 12 tons, and were designed to be moved from narrow gauge to standard gauge trucks at Ogden, UT. They were ultimately used full time on standard gauge line, and all were phased out by 1914. While in narrow gauge service, they carried the "billboard" lettering used on our model.
