on the model, RMI electric locomotives carry from 2 to 8 batteries.
Under normal operating conditions, all will give a long day's
run (up to 10 hours for our largest units) between recharges.
There are times, however, when reserve power may be needed for
commercial operations, auxiliary power when working in remote
areas, or for meets at tracks without electrical outlets. Our
battery cars have two wooden cargo boxes, each housing up 4 batteries.
Passenger seats can be mounted on top of these boxes. |
